Tips Around The World: Copenhagen, Denmark

The Danish Capital, Curated
There are many reasons to love the Danish capital.
From chic dinner spots and hip cafés to carefully curated fashion boutiques, LEWIS rounds up Copenhagen’s best places to visit.
By Anastasia Tolstunova
Copenhagen has plenty to offer: It’s Home to The Little Mermaid, some of the best men’s haircuts seriously, nowhere else comes close right now and an effortlessly cool sense of fashion style.
Having spent a few days in the Danish capital, our contributor curated a selection of cool spots worth visiting apart from the obvious sight-seeing places.
But yes, seeing Nyhavn and Rosenborg Castle is still mandatory and absolutely beautiful.
The focus here is on the three F’s: fashion, food and fun drinks.
Breakfast
Lille Bakery
If you’ve spent any time on TikTok, you’ve likely come across this place and rightfully so.
Lille Bakery works with seasonal ingredients sourced from small-scale local farmers and millers, which makes a noticeable difference.
If the weather allows, grab a seat outside and enjoy your fresh herb tea and omelette with a side of sunshine.
Just nearby Copenhagen Contemporary is worth a visit where you can experience James Turrell’s Aftershock.
We won’t say much only that it’s unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

studio x kitchen
A spot just steps from Rosenborg Castle.
studio x kitchen is best known for its eggs, but the rest of the menu, along with the pastries, looks just as tempting.
It’s walk-in only, so if you don’t manage to stay for a full breakfast, make sure to at least try something from the pastry selection or grab a coffee to go.

Atelier September
Did we wait 40 minutes for a table outside, given that reservations aren’t an option?
Yes.
Was it worth it?
Also yes.
The menu is vegetarian and appears simple at first, but doesn’t disappoint.
The appeal lies as much in the atmosphere as in the food being here feels a bit like sitting at the cool kids’ table.
So, if you’re not too hangry, it’s a brunch spot worth the wait.

Naked Copenhagen
Naked Copenhagen sums itself up in its Instagram Bio: “Supplying Girls With Sneakers” and it delivers.
Beyond sneakers, you’ll find a wide range of footwear, alongside fashion, accessories, and a retro photobooth.
And don’t we all know that a good photo strip might just be the best kind of souvenir to take home.

Storm
Another well-curated concept store is Storm.
Alongside fashion, it offers a considered mix of beauty, music and literature.
The in-store exhibitions further blur the lines between fashion and culture.

Additional Stops
And while in Copenhagen, a few additional stops are worth noting: GANNI’s outlet, called Ganni Postmodern, SUI AVA, a go-to for hair accessories and bag charms, and Boii Studios, a reliable address for striped long sleeves and understated Scandinavian cool.

Coffee
Hart Bageri
Before opening his own bakery, Richard Hart was the baker at Noma so its popularity, both in Copenhagen and abroad, comes as no surprise.
The cardamom rolls are a standout, the coffee is great, and the rest of the pastry selection looks just as tempting.
Hart Bageri has several locations across the city.

Not your average pizzeria: here you can order three small pizzas instead of one, which is a lot of fun because you get to try many flavours and share everything with your friends.
It’s located near Pompette, the bar that serves amazing orange wine, which we list in the “Dinner and Drinks” section below.

Broens Food Market
Anyone who loves food markets should visit Broens Food Market when in Copenhagen.

Donna
Located in the Hotel Bella Grande, Donna is a restaurant worth visiting.
Italian dishes meet well-mixed drinks and a romantic vibe, delivered in that cool Scandi way.
The whole concept is very photogenic, making it also a great place for bathroom selfies, aka the first picture of your Instagram carousel.

Pompette
Dua Lipa fans know: The pop queen herself said she tried amazing wine here.
Naturally, we had to try it too — and we weren’t disappointed.
Especially the orange wine had us in a chokehold.
The vibe is cool, a little “undone”: think dimmed light, candles, empty wine bottles, and a room packed with cool people.
