LEWIS Brasil is the correction. Brazilian stories, reported by Brazilians, published to the same standard as everything else in this magazine — which is to say without explanation, without apology, and without the word exotic.
It begins in Rio, because that is where I am from and where the attention currently is. It will not stay there. São Paulo dresses differently. Salvador eats differently. Rio just happens to be the room the world is standing in.
Every piece runs in British English and in Brazilian Portuguese. Not a translation appended as an afterthought — the same story, given the same care, in both languages. That is the whole point.

Começa no Rio, porque é de onde eu venho e onde a atenção está agora. Não vai ficar só aqui. São Paulo se veste de outro jeito. Salvador come de outro jeito. O Rio apenas é a sala em que o mundo está de pé.
Cada matéria sai em inglês britânico e em português do Brasil. Não uma tradução anexada depois — a mesma história, com o mesmo cuidado, nas duas línguas. É disso que se trata.
