Seoul Fashion Week FW22 Highlights

 

This season’s event was a hybrid digital-physical model with SFW showcasing – limited – offline catwalks for the first time in three years at the Seoul Museum of Craft Art. The city will also make eight fashion films in Namsan-gil, Seoul Battleship Park, and Seoul Museum of Art by using VR and AR SEOUL which will be live-streamed via multiple online platforms, including Youtube, Naver TV, and Tik Tok. Additionally SFW on-site Exhibition will return and this season be open to the general public to buy designer clothes from the shows – with 100 brands taking part. The city is committed to laying the foundation for the Korean fashion industry to grow internationally. The digital fashion week was devised to revitalize the fashion industry amid the pandemic,” said Hwang Bo-Yeon, Deputy Mayor for Economic Policy. “We will make SFW Asia’s most important fashion week following New York, London, Milan, and Paris by promoting K-fashion and reinforcing Seoul’s competitiveness as a Beauty City.

 

Seoul chose Lee Jung-jae, Netflix series Squid Game star and one of Korea’s most famous actors,

as the Global Ambassador for the 2022 F/W SFW.
