Last week saw the launch of ‘WAX’. The first full collection from streetwear label Gramm.
Established in Manchester, Gramm continues to go from strength to strength appealing to fans globally. They continue to create clothing that transcends seasons and trends, staying true to their own aesthetic while disrupting the streetwear fashion bubble, (IAMDDB wearing Gramm to the Serpentine Summer Party? Iconic).
Following on from Gramm’s activewear capsules (GYC + 1.28), WAX takes things outdoors making suitable ready to wear garments. The WAX collection has a focus on functionality with references to ski-wear throughout. The colour palette for the collection consists of mainly black, grey and khaki with flashes of a brilliant fluorescent orange. The printed hoodies and tees are really strong and are consistent with the Brand’s DNA. A really well conceived collection that really plays to their strengths.
The brand’s founder, AK Williams says that inspiration for the range came from ski wax “I saw it and liked it and its function. Like most of my ideas, the spark can come from something as small as watching someone wax their ski’s, I see Gramm as a brand having many different arms and I see WAX being the more outdoor, active wear stuff, the real ready for anything stuff”.
