Lewis Fashion Journalist Collen Demerez coverage of the Versace SS18 Show
It seems Versace is going back to its roots for Spring Summer 18 and we’re head over heels in love with this new collection. Now that Milan Fashion Week has come to an end it’s safe to say that the brand was in the top 3 of our favourite Milan collections. Versace basically invited the printed silk shirt and this season they brought it back, newer and better. We saw a lot of references to the collections Gianni did back in the 90s, hints of gold and retro prints and embroidery. The collection was cool and youthful, having a very modern look despite its use of its archive prints and designs. The collection was a mix of tailoring, sportswear, casual wear and luxury, having suits paired with sneakers, tracksuits, baseball caps and oversized shorts, trousers and jackets. All the ‘Versace’ slogan t-shirts and soft blue jeans make us extremely excited to for SS18. We look forward to seeing if the Versace SS18 Campaign will make us feel as nostalgic as the pieces from this collection did, we’ll have to wait and see.
