Unfiltered Q&A – Everton Araujo

This weeks model is someone who I’ve been very excited about ever since we met at the Lewis 4th Edition Launch Party ...

Hey Everton

Hi, Collen. Hi, Lewis.

Where are you from?

I'm Brazilian, born in a small city called Paracatu -Minas Gerais 🇧🇷

How would you describe yourself?

I describe myself first at all as a really blessed guy, eccentric, who is always in a good mood, full of energy, no matter the day or who is near, I always try to be well with life. I believe that no matter what the outcome of the day is my positive energy effects the people around me in the best way possible.

When & how were you discovered?

So I was discovered 6 years ago, I had a small agency in my town and we went to Rio de Janeiro for a week, where there was workshops, castings for telenovela and also castings with different agencies in Rio and SP. So 2 days before we were about to leave back to Brasília, the booker of men's division of Mega models São Paulo was there. He said that I really had to go to SP cause I was going to work well there and then he gave me the opportunity to go straight to SP from there but I was so scared of everything happening too fast, so I went back to my town to see first what my mom thought. She said if I really believe in my dreams I should go ahead and 1 month later I decided to move São Paulo and everything happened.

What was your first fashion job?

It was on runway job for SPFW walking for 3 big brands in my first season, Colcci, Osklen and Triton.

How did it feel doing the Bobby Abley show this SS18 season?

Well, I've been following him [Bobby Abley] since before the show and I was always hoping to have an opportunity to work with him and it came this year. Doing the show was amazing because it was my first London Fashion Week show since I moved to London a year ago, so I was really excited. He's a really nice guy, the same positive vibe that makes his show full of energy, AND HE LOVES BRAZIL. It was a beautiful show and I got to walk with my three big brothers, Jou Bellini, Jhona Burjack and Gabriel Souza.

Are you planning to take on New York?

Hope so, soon as I get my working visa after I’ve done my second season here in London.

What's one brand that you'd love to work for?

One of my favourite brands that I had dreamt to work for was Giorgio Armani and I did their show last year. Now I really like the brand Moschino as well, their clothes are so beautiful, I hope one day I get the opportunity to work with them too.

Any photographer you would like to work with in the future?

Yes, Bruce Weber, he's one of my favourites at the moment, his work is incredible.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I like to be with my friends, go to parks and enjoy the weather, walk around the city, go to the gym and of course, rest a little bit too rsrs.

Favourite song on your playlist right now?

Butterfly effect - Travis Scott

Where would you like to be in 5 years?

I hope still travelling around the world, working, healthy, learning and living life.

Where can people find you and keep up with your work?
