Got to have it: Best new menswear of the week

Our Fashion Editor’s pick of the best new menswear this week

By Michael Rathbone

This week, I’m excited to share some of my favourite new product launches from some of the coolest brands out there. From Filippa K’s sustainable outwear to a statement Saint Laurent piece. Take a look below for my pick of the best.

Perfect for the transition between seasons, this overcoat from Fillipa K is made using sustainable Tencel cotton. Looks good, does good.

Collection available from February at

Sandqvist have created a bag that would look just as good with an office suit as it would with your workout gear. Sustainability is at the forefront of the ‘Fusion’ collection: with all bags made from 100% recycled nylon fabric and lined with leather details made from LWG tanneries.

Lacoste launch the latest addition to their Capbreton range this week. Bright white and neon blue details really contrast against the black straps and dial, sporty and smart. A versatile piece that you could wear with pretty much anything.

Saint Laurent have delivered the ultimate statement shirt that is sure to start many a conversation. Inspired by the ‘Day of the Dead’ festival, this vintage feel shirt, complete with sombrero wearing skeletons is the perfect partner for distressed denim.

I am obsessed with orange for SS19, and these runners from Prada are at the top of my wish-list. Retro cool with Prada’s signature branding, the black laces and white eyelets are an interesting clash with the bright orange suede and durable nylon.

With temperatures continuing to plummet, I think now is the perfect time to invest in a scarf that will see you through winter for years to come. Go for something in a simple colour palette that you can wear with anything and you can really justify spending that little bit extra. This classic from Acne studio’s is numero uno on my list of winter must haves.
