Championing the North of England
In his A/W 2019 show, Fletcher presented a subtle insight into British identity paying specific attention to the North of England. This homage to Britain could even be seen in the fabric used; including the Prince of Wales check and Merino wool.
Highlights from the collection include the notorious rugby polos, an array of neutral blazers, silk printed shirts, straight-legged pants with contrast stitching, and a return of the split-hem pant, which Fletcher gave us a sneak peak of in his SS19 show. He kept true to his roots with his presentation supported by chunky Doc Martens; stomping into style.
Daniel W. Fletcher’s AW19 collection takes account of socio-political problems depicting, through the subtlety of the clothing, an era of cultural, financial and social transformation.
